Billy Saul

Burlington-Billy Ervin Saul, 90 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at ARMC. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late Addison “Ted” Yarborough Saul, Sr. and Ruth Smithey Saul. He was the husband of the late Ida Mae Tunstall Saul who died in 2012.

Billy retired after 45 years with Burlington Industries. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and served in the Army National Guard. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his daughter, Hattie Saul Sheets and husband, Dennis; son, Michael “Mike” Saul and friend, Laura Ruis; son-in-law, Don Herring; step daughter, Brenda Saunders and husband, Barry; grandchildren, Christopher Michael Saul and wife, Courtney and Lindsey Ann Boggs and fiancee, Taylor Howard; special friend, Doris Clark; sister, Patsy S. Haizlip and husband, Leon and Shirley Saul Ward; sisters-in-law, Alene Saul and Irene Saul and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, great grandson, Adrian Thomas Howard, daughter, Bonnie Saul Herring who died shortly before her father at ARMC; siblings, Levi D. Saul, Sr., Addison “AY” Yarbrough Saul, Jr. Jeanette Apple, Mary Beale and Alice Baughn.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David McDaniel.  Interment will follow at 1:30pm at Alamance Memorial Park.
