David Arneson

Mr. David Byron Arneson, age 91, of Twin Lakes Community, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at Coble Creek Healthcare after several months of failing health.

Born in Minneapolis, MN, he was the son of the late Arnold Robert Arneson and the late Harriet Alleda Burnett Arneson and was married for 50 years to the late Janet Vaughan Arneson, who passed in 2011.  Byron  received a masters degree in music from the University of Minnesota before becoming a professional organist who served in sales and organ design with Aeolian-Skinner Organ Co.  After serving as a veteran in the U.S. Army, he resumed employment as the national sales director for Hillgreen-Lane and Company, then later moving to M.P. Moller, Inc. before retiring from Austin Organ Company.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and played the organ for several local churches.

Mr. Arneson is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Arneson and wife, Judy, of Chapel Hill and David Arneson and wife, Sarah, of Carrboro and three grandchildren, Micaela, Michael and Samuel Arneson.  He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and two brothers, William Burnett Arneson and Austin Jerome Arneson.

The family will hold private services at a later date.
