David Crowder

Graham – David Lee Crowder, 60, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 14, 2020.  He was born on February 17, 1960, raised in South Hill, VA and was the son of the late Harvey Drew Crowder and Nancy Jordan Crowder.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River where he served as deacon, sang in the choir and ran the sound system.  David served Alamance County for over 27 years combined at EMS and the Sheriff’s Office, where he retired as a Lieutenant.  He was an avid golfer and after retiring, he coordinated the Seniors Golf Group at The Challenge Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Mary Jane W. Crowder; son, James David Crowder (Mandy Grivnovics); sister, Bett Boham (Kenny); several nieces and nephews and his faithful K-9 companion, Belvedere.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Haw River outside on the lawn.  The family will receive friends following the service.
