Doreen Hoeke

Doreen O’Neill Hoeke, 61, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Moses Cone Hospital. Doreen was born in Newark, New Jersey to the late Harry Ball O’Neill and Yolanda DeThomas O’Neill who survives. She was the wife of 40 years to Harold Andrew “Drew” Hoeke who survives.

Doreen worked for 18 years for the Livingston Board of Education and later was employed as a manager with Home Goods. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ LDS  Gibsonville Ward. Doreen enjoyed exercising, reading, decorating and spending time with family. She was devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Harold Andrew “Drew” Hoeke; daughters, Heather Longnecker and husband, Scott of Nebraska and Jenn Lewis and husband, Jeff of Elon; son, Ryan Hoeke of Utah; grandchildren, Hannah, Ella, Brody and Cooper Longnecker, Leah, Brielle and Jacob Lewis; sisters, Patti Langel and husband, Dennis of New York City and Kathi Snow and husband, David of Utah; mother, Yolanda DeThomas O’Neill of New Jersey.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 6pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Gibsonville Ward by Bishop Keith Ouzts.
