Edward Lovette

Edward Woodrow "Eddie" Lovette, age 99, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Rowan County, he was the son of the late Gaither Lee and Pearl Jane Pennix Lovette and husband of the late Dapathana Lee Lewis Lovette who died January 15, 2018.

He was a retired machinist with Western Electric, a US Army Air Corp veteran of WWII and member of Ireland Street Chapel.

Survivors include his daughers; Debbie L. Turner and Jane L. Leonard and husband Bob, son; Billy Lovette, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and sister; Ruth Lovette.  He was preceded in death by a son; Jerry Lovette, grandson; Brad Hatcher, siblings; Helen L. Weatherly, Gaither Lovette, Johnny Lovette, and Paul Lovette and half sister; Loretta Weston.

A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Ireland Street Chapel by

Eddie Swartz and Pastor David Neff.  Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park

Mr. Lovette will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory until being taken to the church for services.  The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 6-8 pm Tuesday.
