Gary Hutchens

Mebane-Gary Dean Hutchens, 61, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Nevada.   A native of Alamance County of was the son of the late Harry Benjamin Hutchens and Margaret Jean Hutchens, who survives.

Gary was a very talented brick mason and welder who was able to travel all over the world for his work.  In his free time he loved to ride his motorcycle and pull for his favorite sports teams especially the TarHeels.  Gary was also a large supporter of the Military and was very proud of his son, Jeffrey’s service.

He is survived by his mother Margaret Jean Hutchens, sons Jeffery Dean Hutchens and wife, Tammy, Gary Dobzenski, Clay Bowles and wife, Stephanie and Ashley Bowles, longtime companion Patsy Hutchens; he also had 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 4 to 6 PM at Lowe Funeral Home.
