Herbert "HW" Sprague

Herbert Winston “HW” Sprague, 96 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Peak Resources. He was the husband of 60 years to the late Ruth Arrwood Sprague and the son of the late John and Ivey Sprague.

Herbert was a building contractor for many years and former member of the Home Builders Association.  Herbert was a US Army veteran of WW II serving in the European Theatre. He received a Purple Heart as a result of injuries in the Battel of The Bulge. He enjoyed working in his yard and sitting on his front porch.

Survivors include his daughter, Linda Rabon of Burlington and a son, Gary Sprague of Burlington; granddaughters, Lorri Rivas of Sophia, NC and Deanna Ireland and husband Daniel of Florida; six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and a brother, Lawrence Sprague.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 1:00PMAlamance Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel by Eric G. Rudd.
