Janeen Bryant

Janeen Coe Pegg Bryant, 78, left for the city where the Builder and Maker is God on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at her home.  She was born in Orange County to the late James Ernest and Hazel E. Testerman Coe and was married for almost 42 years to the late Carl Allen Bryant.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was affectionately called “Grannie” by her grandchildren.  Over the years Mrs. Bryant served in churches as Sunday school teacher, children’s church leader and in the bus ministry and was currently a member of Kinnett Memorial Baptist Church.  She also served alongside her husband Carl at Flowers Bakery.

She is survived by her children, Sherry (Barry) Davis, Carla (Todd) Coleman, Rev. Don (Kim) Pegg, Keith (Susan) Pegg; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a half-brother, John (Pam) Robertson.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ann Phillips and a brother, Tommy Coe.

The funeral will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Don Pegg, Rev. Walter Jones and Rev. John Robertson.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.  The graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Monday at Alamance Memorial Park.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to her caretakers, Vicky Flood and Teresa Davis, and Dr. Mark Miller for taking such good care of Mrs. Bryant.
