Jerry Caldwell

BURLINGTON – Jerry Richard “Coonhunter” Caldwell, 79, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Jerry was born in Alamance County to the late Harold Dickson and Nancy Elizabeth Noble Caldwell.

Jerry was a retired Bick Mason. He was a trophy winning coon hunter. He was well known as a rabbit hunter and for his skills as a dog handler. Jerry will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include a special niece, Kelly (Robert) Caldwell Rivers other nieces, Mitzi (Don) Bullard, Kinsley Caldwell, Amber (Scott) Jolly, Hayden Jolly, Sarah Faucette; nephews, Chad (Kim) Caldwell, Spencer Rivers, Brian (Jessica) Faucette, Jeffrey Faucette, David Faucette and Jacob Faucette; sister-in-law, Eva Caldwell; sister, Mary Anne (Steve) Servoss and a Uncle, Clyde (Susie) Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jackie N. Caldwell.

A private burial was held at Pine Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Pleasant Grove Hunting Club C/o Chad Caldwell, 516 Jeffries Cross Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
