JoAnne LaMedica

JoAnne Ciavarelli LaMedica, age 67,passed away on June 5, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Queens, New York and was the daughter of the late Joseph Samuel Ciavarelli and Anne Paula Arabetello.  JoAnne was married for 43 years to Robert Luciana LaMedica.

JoAnne was  of the Catholic faith.  She was a homemaker that loved cooking and gardening.  She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially taking care of her son and two granddaughters. JoAnne and Robert spent many days on cruises, with her favorite being to the Bahamas. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her generous nature extended to not only her family but to many pets and dogs that she adored.

She is survived by her husband, Robert LaMedica of the home; son, Joseph LaMedica and wife, Vanessa; granddaughters: Ava Marie and Kayla Marie LaMedica; and sister, Marie Antonia Ciavarelli.

An entombment service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 PM noon Tuesday June 8, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:45 AM prior to the graveside service at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.
