Johnny Garmon

Mr. Johnnie B. Garmon, age 80, of Tabor City, NC, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at The Lower Cape Fear Hospice House in Wilmington, NC.

Born in Sampson County, NC, he was the son of the late Lonnie Garmon and Josephine Autry Garmon and was married for over 50 years to Mrs. Nancy Loranger Garmon who precedes him in death. He was the founder and co-owner and operator of Garmon Housing Center and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Green Sea, SC.

Mr. Garmon is survived by his four children, Deborah Wingard and husband, Tom,

of Charleston SC, Angelena Stone and husband, David, of Larkspur, CO, Jennifer Armstrong and husband, Lance, of Wilmington, NC and Johnnie Garmon, II and wife, Kelley, of Rock Hill, SC; nine grandchildren, two brothers and one sister, Larry Garmon of Burlington NC, Bruce Garmon of Morganton, NC and Betty Garmon Bridges of Morganton, NC. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy Garmon as well as his sister Linda Garmon Rumple of Gibsonville NC.

A cryptside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday November 23, 2019 at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel by Rev. Marcus Fowler. Mr. Garmon’s life verse was 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church C/O Rev.
