Jonathan Robert Bennett “Jon” age 39 gained his wings at home suddenly on Monday, February 8, 2021. Jon was born April 3, 1981 in Charleston, WV. He was one of four children of Ray and Sandi Bennett. He was preceded in death by his “Pip Pip”, Mamaw Anna Mae and Grandpa Arden. Aside from his parents, he is survived by his brother Will “BJ” Bennett (Kim), his sisters Mahala Tant (Stacey), Chelsea Dillehay (Matt), his “brothers from another mother” Eric and Brandon Goff, the mother of his children Adrienne Bennett, his children Ethan, Schyler, Wyatt, and Maddox, his girlfriend Sarah Bryant, his 3 grandparents, several uncles and aunts, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many, many friends.
All who knew Jon, loved his craziness. Jon was a very hard worker, a true “Jack of all trades.” He loved the outdoors, cooking on the grill and listening to music, every genre from bluegrass to ICP and Slipknot. His favorite pastime was building bonfires and “burning $#!+” and just chillin’ with his family and friends. He recently found joy in acrylic and oil painting, specifically landscapes, for the people he loved. Jon will be sorely missed by many and we will all miss that crooked smile and crazy sense of humor. Rest easy and fly high, Jon B.!
The service to celebrate his life will be 10:00 AM Monday, February15th at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Rick Finley.
