Lois Anne Latzak Priest

Lois Anne Latzak Priest, April 19, 1955 to June 2, 2021.

Lois Anne Latzak Priest flew away to her heavenly home on God’s celestial shore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Priest; mother, Juanita Louise Livingston Latzak Raburn; father, O’Neal Sebastion Latzak; stepfather, Albert Wayne Raburn; sister, Linda Carol Latzak Taylor; nephew, Christopher Steven Taylor, and granddaughter, Caroline Elizabeth Roberts. She is Survived by her son, Jon Thomas Priest; daughter, Laura Louise Morgan (Dan); stepdaughter, Emily Rae Priest Preston (Mike); brother, O’Neal Alan “Chip” Latzak; and four grandchildren, Jessy David Roberts, Nathan Daniel Roberts, Maleah Rae Preston, and Mazzie Belle Preston.

Her Greatest accomplishment in this life was loving, caring for, and serving others, especially those who were in need.

Her greatest joy came from time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Her greatest love was Jesus Christ.

Her greatest fellowship and comfort came from her church, Graham Presbyterian Church, and from her family, friends and neighbors.

She leaves them all with this request:

“Do not stand at my grave and weep…

I am not there. I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awake in the morning’s hush,

I am the swift up-flinging rush

Of quiet birds in circling flight.

I am the soft star-shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry… .

I am not there. I did not die.”
