Loretta Boswell Madren, 74, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of 55 years to the late Daniel Lee Madren.
Loretta retired as a child nutrition director for Orange County Schools. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church and a member of the Irene Lee Sunday School Class. She was also a part of the Ladies fellowship at Bethlehem. She volunteered along with her husband with Meals on Wheels of Alamance County. Loretta enjoyed working with stained glass, gardening and preparing Sunday lunch for her family. She was a faithful devoted Christian and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Greg Madren; Marsha Hatch (Allen) and Rodney Madren (Eleni) all of Burlington; grandchildren, Grant and Logan Madren, Danielle Cozort (Buck), Connor Hatch, Evi, Lucas and Natalie Madren all of Burlington and Blake Miller of Macon, Georgia; great grandsons, Brycen Madren and Porter Cozort both of Burlington: brother, William “Bill” Boswell of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Aubrey Brooks Boswell and Nancy Hensley Boswell; sisters, Judy Ann Boswell and Willa Jean Webster: brothers, Raymond and Ronald Boswell; sister-in-law, Lois Boswell and a brother-in-law, Eddie Webster.
The family would like to thank the family and friends for their kindness and support during her brief battle with cancer.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00am at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery by Rev. Todd Felkel and her nephew, Randy Webster. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home.
