Mary Horton

Burlington-Mary Louise Hudson Horton, 88, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Ellis Raymond Horton, Sr.

Mary retired from Cone Mills after 40 years of service. She was a member of New Testament  Baptist Church , a homemaker and she enjoyed reading her Bible. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Danny Horton  and Randy Wade Horton both of the home and a daughter, Cindy Kay Lassiter and husband, Tommy of Burlington; grandchildren, Jessica Crawford, Ashley Lassiter, Josh Lassiter, Matthew Horton, Lauren Horton, Justin Horton, Zachary Horton and Joanie Valdez; great grandchildren, Natalie Baken, Hannah Baken, Madison Baken, Adalynn Lassiter, Rylen Furguson, Olivia Valdez and Christian Valdez.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, Merritt Wilson and Annie Mae Marley Hudson and a step mother, Gladys Hudson;son, Raymond Ellis Horton, Jr. and sisters, Frances Taylor and Margie Fields.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11:00AM at Alamance Memorial Park.
