Milford Morris, Sr.

Milford Ray Morris, Sr., 83, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  A native of Johnston County, he was the son of the late Lonzo Elmer and Victoria Lamb Morris. He was the husband of 52 years to Christina “Chris” Largent Morris who survives.

Milford retired from Glen Raven Mills after over 20 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many happy hours in the outdoors. Milford loved dogs and cared for many during his lifetime. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Chris Morris of the home; and his children, Donna Canup of Haw River, Ray Morris, Jr. and wife, Wendy of Gibsonville, Tiffany Morris, Rodney Troxler and wife, Dorris and Ricky Troxler and wife, Rhonda all of Burlington; grandchildren, Chris Morris, Ashley Canup, Brooke (Landon Simmons), Ronald (Robin) Troxler, Jordan Troxler, Stephanie Adam, Casey Pruitt and Timothy Pruitt, Josh (Courtney) Stout; great grandchildren, Kiley Lopez, Addison Adam, Garrett Twins: Garrett and Jacob Adam, Colton, Everly and Liberty Troxler, Landon and Addison Stout; sister, Connie of Burlington and a brother, Loman Morris of Johnston County. He was preceded in death by his parents and twelve siblings.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Sean Fitzgerald.
