Minnie Cox

Gibsonville – Minnie Lee Bowers Cox, 83, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Grayson County, VA on March 14, 1936 to the late Samuel Lawton and Drema Stella Bowers and was the wife of 60 years to the late Virgil Stewart Cox.

Minnie retired from Burlington Industries and was of the Baptist Faith.  She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed flower gardening.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Shirley Ann Cox; grandsons, Daniel Stewart Cox and Christopher Allen Cox; great grandchildren, Issac, Brandon, Brooke, Calista, Zackery, Clayton and Maddex Cox, Camryn James, Ethan Layton and great great granddaughter, Gracie Cox.  She also leaves behind her canine friend “Oscar”.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a great great grandson, Parker Cox.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Darrell Massey.  The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:30pm prior to the service on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.
