Richard "Scully" Sculthorpe

Burlington – Richard William Sculthorpe, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  He was born in Monmouth County, NJ on August 8, 1941 to the late Richard Edward Sculthorpe and Alice Conway Sculthorpe Herpich and was the husband of 58 years to Margaret Emma "Peggy" Sculthorpe who survives.

Richard was a US Army Veteran who enjoyed reading, sports, westerns, horses and the outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret; son, Michael Joseph Sculthorpe and wife Susan; daughters, Karyn S. Franks and husband Jonathan, Patricia Murdock and husband Ronald; grandchildren, Abigail Franks and fiancé Austin Capps, Jonathan Murdock (Hannah), Sarah Williams (Brian), Daniel Murdock (Natalie); great granddaughter, Selah Williams, and a brother, Donald James Sculthorpe (Trudy).  He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jared William Franks.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00am on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Mark Shelley with the burial to follow at Berea Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 prior to the service on Saturday.
