Stanley "Scatter" Martin, Jr.

Burlington – Stanley “Scatter” Lamar Martin, Jr., age 65, passed away on January 4, 2021 at his home. Born in Onslow County on July 4, 1955, he was the son of Mary Fair Martin and the late Stanley Lamar Martin, Sr.  Stanley was a member of St. Mark’s Church, a 1973 graduate of Walter M. Williams High School and worked for Lowe’s Home Improvement for many years.

Stanley was a loving, devoted and nurturing husband.  He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed beach trips, fishing, lawncare, and most importantly spending time with his family and friends.  He also loved his animals, sports and listening to music.  People were drawn to Stanley because of his infectious smile and outgoing personality.  He never met a stranger and seemed to make a special connection with everyone he met.  Stanley will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
