Gibsonville – Virginia Lee Shearin Hall, 74, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2019 at Edgewood Place surrounded by her family.  She was born in Franklin County on December 13, 1944 to the late James Albert and Margaret Hazel Winstead Shearin and was the wife of 56 years to Richard Nicholas Hall of the home.

Virginia was a member of New Testament Baptist Church.  She enjoyed the beach, crocheting and motorcycle rides with her husband.  She was very family oriented, had a great sense of humor and loved animals.  She was a loving wife, sister and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; sisters, Dula Hester, Sue McBride (Sammy), Linda Heyworth (Butch), Bonnie Gerner; brothers, Eugene Shearin (Helen), Bill Shearin and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Daphine Kinley and Ann Boggs and brothers, Benny and Ned Shearin.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Grinnell with the burial to follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service and other times at the brother, Bill’s home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27217 or the the Humane Society of Alamance County, 2444 Tribek Ct, Burlington, NC 27215.
